A 10-point NIT checklist — EMD, turnover, experience, JV, site visit, pre-bid, and the exact pages where bids get rejected.
10-Point Checklist (Print This Page)
- EMD & Fee: Amount (e.g.,
₹1,50,000), BG vs online, exemption (NSIC/Udyam) — NIT page 2-3, clause 3. If NIT saysEMD: ₹1,00,000 (BG), you must upload BG scan + courier original. - Turnover: Average of 3 years vs single year — NIT clause 5, page 6. Example:
Avg turnover ₹2 Cr in last 3 FYs— calculate (FY22+FY23+FY24)/3, need CA cert. - Experience: Similar work, completion certificate, value — NIT clause 6, page 7. Example:
Single work of ₹1 Cr in last 5 years— need work order + completion cert with value and date. - JV Allowed? — NIT clause 7, page 8; if “JV not allowed”, JV bids rejected even with MOU.
- Site Visit: Mandatory? — NIT page 4, clause 4.5. If
Site visit on 05-Sep-2026 is mandatory, get signature on site visit certificate. - Pre-Bid Meeting: Date, venue, query deadline — NIT page 5, clause 8. Attend and get MOM.
- Opening vs Closing: Don’t confuse — Bid Bharat shows
openingDate(when they open your bid) andclosingDate(submission deadline). - City: Work location — Bid Bharat shows
city(e.g., Pune, Bhopal) — verify in NITWork Location. - EMD is Estimated? — If Bid Bharat shows
Est. 2%(amber chip), verify exact EMD in NIT clause 3 — derived EMD is not official. - Tender Fee: If Bid Bharat shows a fee of
0, the portal didn’t publish it publicly — check NIT clause 3 for the actual fee (e.g.,₹5,000via online).
